American Outlaw Riding Habit

Bodice is fully boned & entirely finished in silk thread. It is lined in reproduction 1870s fabric. The sleeve has decorative pleats at the cap, as well as a dart at the elbow for extra movement. Buttonholes have been hand worked in cotton thread, and the buttons are covered in black cotton.

Skirt has been lined with muslin and has pleats across the bustle. These pleats allow ample fabric to preserve modesty when riding sidesaddle. Side button closure with hand-worked buttonholes in cotton thread

AMERICAN OUTLAW RIDING HABIT

This is a 1870s riding habit designed for a character who is an outlaw in the American west in the tail end of the western expansion. Cassidy Hunt is based off of real outlaw Bell Star, who was reported to wear a black velvet riding habit on her bandit escapades.

This habit is not velvet, but a wonderful hand dyed wool, and is lined in reproduction 1870s prairie fabric. The bodice is fully boned with spring steal as is seen in authentic garments of the era.
