Dress & feedbag props fashioned after 1930s cotton feed sacks & the dresses made out of them. Tiny pleats and bias binding are used to embellish this daring frock.
Dress & veil in the style of 14th century French manuscripts. Linen, handsewn. Small embroidered french knots are used in lieu of the buttons down the sleeve seen on many period images.
These gingham shorts were inspired by Japanese girly fashion brand Liz Lisa. I made a pair with lace bows & trim, and a pair without embellishments & with a high waist. The bombshell bikini top was designed after vintage pinup posters.
This dress is based off a vintage pattern & the dress I made from it. It features a pleated skirt, high collar, and contrasting cuffs & lapels.
A pair of boots made of thin suede leather, lined with cotton stripe. Each boot has eight 1/8th inch metal eyelets and is laced with 1/8th inch silk ribbon.
One of my hobbies is making small scale clothes for dolls. I find working in a small scale is a great way to practice new techniques without using too many materials. The doll I use is a 1:4 scale ball jointed doll.
I like to make vintage and retro clothes because I’ve designed this doll to have a very timeless aesthetic, something that can’t be pinpointed to a specific time and place. All the best things of the past two centuries wrapped up into one 18in package!
